Half Marathon and Marathon Training
Training programs are available for both a Half Marathon and Full Marathon.
Fox River Trail Runners will provides training for beginners to advanced runners. Our training is led by Road Runner Club of America certified coaches and group runs will take place in various locales in the Fox Valley region. We currently offer two programs:
- Spring Half Marathon Training. While the target race for most is our Great Western Half Marathon our flexible plans can be used for any spring half you may be running.
- Fall Endurance Training which is for any fall marathon or half marathon. As with the Spring program our plans are flexible and typically we have people training for 8-10 different races
Next scheduled session will begin in Feb 2016, focusing on the half marathon. Details later this year.
Flexible Training Plans
Each of our programs allow you to select from one of three plans. You can think of them as Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced and is assigned to you based upon your race. We deliver these electronically via Final Surge (www.finalsurge.com). You can get text and email alerts about upcoming workouts, upload or record your runs against your plan, view everything on any Internet connected device and more.
